What is Nanomaterial?
An EU regulatory category (Article 16, Regulation 1223/2009) for an ingredient manufactured at nanoscale. It carries its own requirements beyond ordinary annex restrictions: a 6-month pre-market notification to the European Commission, and "(nano)" appended to the INCI name on the product label. This is read as its own dataset, separate from the EU CosIng annexes shown on the EU market page.
