What is Safety assessment?
The general practice of evaluating a finished cosmetic product's safety before it reaches the market. In the EU this takes a specific, legally-defined form — the CPSR (Cosmetic Product Safety Report). Other markets require equivalent safety substantiation without necessarily naming one required document the way the EU does.
