What is UV filter?
An ingredient added to a cosmetic product specifically to protect skin from UV radiation, by absorbing, reflecting, or scattering it. Most markets maintain a positive list of permitted UV filters, each with its own market-specific maximum concentration — in the EU, that's Annex VI.
